The next job is to apply some weathering and get the Buffalo onto it's wheels.

I decided to go little old school with weathering. I coated the model with Flory Models Dark Dirt wash and left it to dry.

When dry the excess wash was removed with damp paper towers.

The undercarriage is next. The klegs are a single piece while the wheels are made of a wheel and innder hub. The legs were painted aluinium with the actuator in silver. The wheel hubs were also painted aluminium and the tires black. The tail wheel was painted the same. Some Citadel Agrax Earthshade was used as a wash.

The tail wheel just slips into the recess at the back.

the main legs drop into holes under the wings and hook into the fuselage bay.

When the glue had dried it can be flipped onto it's wheels for the first time.

Th tail planes can be glued into place at this point.

The engine will be next.
