The Beechcraft T-6 Texan II is a single-engine turboprop training aircraft built by the Raytheon Aircraft Company.

The Texan is used by a number of countries including the US (USAF, USN and Army), Great Britain (RAF), Canada, Mexico, Columbia, Morocco and many others. It was developed from the Pilatus PC-9 and first flew in 1998 with over 850 produced from 2001.

This is a multimdia kit which can be build into either a T-6A or T-6C aircraft. Mainly made from plastic, the kit also includes resin and photo-etch parts.

The instrucrtions are pretty basic, on a single sheet of paper.

There are four colour scheme opptions.

One is an T-6C from the RAF.

Another is a T-6A from the 434 Fighter Training Squadron in a Robin Olds heritage scheme.

There is also a T-5C from the Columbian Air Force.

The final scheme is another heritage scheme, this one from the 89 FTS.

The decals look good and the kit includes some precut canopy masks.

There are decals for the instruments, the T-6A on the right and the others from the T-6C.

There are two small sheets of photo-etch. There is also a pair of clear resin wing tips for the RAF version.

There aren't many parts. This sprue contains the fuselage and lower wings.

There are recessed panel lines, though they are quite soft and basic.

The other grey plastic sprue has the rest of the parts, including the upper wings, ailplanes and cockpit.

The instrument panels look nice with raised details which shoul take the decals nicelym, though they are for the T-6A and would need sanding flat for the 'C'.

The canopy looks nice and clear without any distortion. This opens as a single piece, tilting to the right.

There are resin parts for the seats, wheel hubs, propeller hub and engine intake.
