With the wings together, it's time to get them fitted.
The instructions call for the wings to be fitted to the aircrft before the control surfaces but to protect the wing tips I decided to fit them now. They are single pieces which glue into place.
The wings get fitted next. They were glued and clamped the the front of the wing. The rear was also clamped behind the fuselage.
While waiting for the wings to glue, I decided to put the tailplanes together. They are made of two halves. They are only aligned by the roots but fit well.
With the clamps removed, the wings look OK. The roots were filled with Vallejo putty and cleaned up with water and sanding.
The lower cowling is next. This doesn't fit well but is OK after some light sanding. The ouil cooler is formed of two parts with no alighment of the front which is tricky. For the second one I fitted the main body first, and then fitted the intake.
The wing radiators are next. These need painting aluminium.
These radiotors are next. They are fiddly and a pain to put together with no alignment pins.
They fit to the underside of the wing with no real issue.
A quick dry fit of the tailplanes. The fit is good if a little loose. Should be OK.
Next will be finishing the detail parts ready for painting.
